Former IU guard Jalen Hood-Schifino has agreed to join the adidas basketball family, according to a tweet published Monday morning.

The 20-year-old Hood-Schifino was the No. 17 pick in June’s NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.

According to the adidas Hoops account on Twitter:

The 2023 Collection: Chapter 03 is a celebration of the invaluable individuals who stand behind each player – those who not only support but inspire their why.

We’re excited to officially welcome Gradey Dick and Jalen Hood-Schifino to the adidas basketball family while also paying homage to their village, the unsung heroes who have provided them unwavering support and inspiration throughout their journey!

Nick DePaula, who covers the footwear industry, reported the deal is a “multi-year footwear & apparel endorsement deal.”

Last winter, Hood-Schifino was one of five athletes to sign a name, image and likeness deal with adidas along with Trayce Jackson-Davis, Dick, Hailey Van-Lith and Hansel Enmanuel.
