Class of 2025 IU recruiting target Trent Sisley transferring to Montverde Academy
Class of 2025 IU recruiting target Trent Sisley is transferring from Heritage Hills to Montverde Academy for his senior season.
Sisley, the No. 73 player nationally according to the 247Composite, announced his decision to transfer on Monday afternoon.
“I would like to thank the Heritage Hills community as well as all of my coaches and teammates,” Sisley wrote on social media. “I will be forever grateful for my time spent as a Patriot. With that being said, I will be transferring to Montverde Academy for my senior year.”
Sisley, a core Indiana junior all-star, is considering five schools in his recruitment: Indiana, Purdue, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Iowa.
He and his Indiana Elite teammates Braylon Mullins and Malachi Moreno have an official visit to Indiana scheduled for September 20.
As a junior at Heritage Hills, Sisley averaged 24.2 points, 11.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.2 blocked shots per game. He shot just under 34 percent from distance.
The Patriots lost 57-52 in Class 3A sectional play.
At Montverde Academy, Sisley will join a nationally ranked high school program that plays a schedule with games across the county. Montverde went undefeated last season and won the GEICO high school national championship.
“Excited to welcome Indiana native Trent Sisley to MVA,” the Montverde Academy program wrote on social media. “Trent brings toughness, basketball IQ, major shotmaking and scoring ability and a winning attitude to our program. He will be a vital piece on our path to winning back-to-back National Championships.”
Current Indiana junior Malik Reneau played at Montverde, as did former Indiana guard Jalen Hood-Schifino. Hood-Schifino, the Big Ten freshman of the year in 2023, left Indiana after one season for the NBA and was a first-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Lakers. Former Indiana signee and current UConn freshman Liam McNeeley also attended Montverde.
